The Boot Inn at Berwick St James, Nr Salisbury, Wiltshire
Cathy and Giles welcome you to the Boot Inn, a traditional 18th century coaching inn, situated in the picturesque village of Berwick St. James which lies in the Till valley just ¾ of a mile south of the A303 at Winterbourne Stoke.
The Till valley is an ideal centre for short or long breaks. There are many walks in the surrounding countryside and up onto Salisbury plain, and excellent tourist attractions like Salisbury, Wilton House and Stonehenge all within 10 miles of the inn. There are also three good B&B’s and a campsite within walking distance.
Our locality to the A303 also makes the Boot Inn a great stopping point on journeys to and from London and the West Country.
Cathy and Giles bring their own unique style of hospitality to the Boot Inn; both are formally trained chefs and believe passionately about traditional British food and the use of local produce where possible. They also believe that the Boot Inn is a ‘Real British Inn’ and therefore should continue to uphold their fine traditions by serving nothing but the best British food and ales.
The Boot Inn is featured in many of the top rated guide books including The Good Pub Guide, The Good Food Guide and the AA Pub Guide.
No matter what the season or weather either the cosy fireside tables or large beer garden are available for that friendly get together, family outing or more intimate meal.
