Local Attractions

There are many attractions near the Boot Inn, some for the tourists and some for the more rurally minded. Locally there is Stonehenge, only 3 miles away, Wilton House and Wilton shopping village are 7 miles away.

Salisbury, with the cathedral and Mompesson House is well worth a visit and there are plenty of good shops to keep those not just there for the sights happy.

Other places nearby that are worth a visit include the Fovant Badges, Stourhead, Avebury's ancient stone circle, Old Wardour Castle,  the New Forest, Marlborough and the historic city of Bath.

For those with a more sporting outlook, Salisbury boasts a premiere race course and a highly rated golf course, South Wilts Golf Club.

The village of Berwick St. James itself (village website www.berwickstjames.org.uk) is worth a stroll around with a church that dates back to Norman times and many other beautiful and historic houses and its own farm shop selling local produce including their own pigs.
